We operate JOTRA Clinic in a calm relaxing environment to ensure you receive the best possible treatment. We just would like you to take a minute to read the following:

On arrival please park in the driveway you will not be blocking anyone in. Please wait in your car and I will come and fetch you once it is safe to do so. Due to Covid 19 you will be asked to complete a form on arrival and have your temperature taken. Please do not attend your appointment if you have travelled in the last 14 days or are not feeling well.

You will receive a full consultation before any treatment to ensure you have no contra indications. We reserve the right to refuse treatment without prejudice if we deem you not to be suitable after a full consultation. We will offer an alternative treatment where possible. All treatment times are approximate and will vary depending on your individual needs. Please allow time for consultation and advise your therapist if you are on a tight schedule. Please ensure you read the pre treatment advice that follows before making your appointment and disclose any medical conditions, allergies or medications you may be taking at the time of booking. Personal details taken from clients during consultation procedures will be kept safe and in the strictest confidence. We would like to send you details of events and special promotions. If you would rather not receive these please let us know. You will be asked to sign a GDPR consent form to meet new government guide lines on this.

If you do need to cancel your appointment, please telephone us asap and if there is no answer please leave a message or text. We are unable to check emails and face book messages while in treatments.

There will be no charge for any cancellation or amendment to your booking if made 24 hours prior to the appointment time.

If less than 24 hours notice is given or in the event of a no-show, we will charge the full cost of the treatment. In the event of non-payment, you will be asked to pay in advance for any future treatments booked. If you are late for your appointment, you will still be charged the full cost of booked services and we will adjust the treatment time accordingly. 

A 50% booking deposit is requested on booking for all packages, deposits are refunded in full in the event of a cancellation with over 24 hours notice.  If less than 24 hours notice is given, we reserve the right to retain your deposit without refund unless the space can be filled with another client. For wedding bookings 50% deposit will be taken to secure the date with the balance due after the trial appointment. Cancellation of this booking will mean a loss of the deposit paid.

If you are unwell, please telephone to rearrange your appointment as soon as possible. Should for any reason we are unable to fullfil your treatment we will telephone you as soon as possible to re-arrange your appointment.  

To respect the relaxing environment we wish to create and also to comply with current health and safety regulations, we request that children and babies are not brought into the salon.

We accept payment by cheque, BACS transfer or cash which is preferred wherever possible. Thank you. 

Refunds and Exchanges of any products must be returned unused, unopened with their seal intact and in the same condition as they were originally purchased. We will not accept for exchange or refund any item which has been used or is not in the exact condition in which it was purchased from us. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 months, and will not be accepted after the expiry date. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, sold or transferred. Your must bring along your voucher to your appointment. Late cancellation and "failure to show" terms as laid out above also apply to gift vouchers.

Terms & Conditions

To ensure your suitability for a treatment and to get the most out of the experience, it is recommended that you follow the guidance advice for your chosen treatment before making your appointment. See below;

Every step is taken to ensure a client’s suitability for a treatment, so it is of the utmost importance that you disclose any medical matters or concerns in confidence. Certain medications or topical lotions you may use routinely can cause unwanted results, so please discuss this with us in advance of booking your appointment to avoid disappointment on the day.

There may be circumstances where medical consent must be sought before the treatment can be given, so please give some consideration to this and inform us at the time of booking if you have (or received treatment for within 5 years) any medical conditions or are taking any prescribed medication. You can then be advised if you need to seek GP/consultant consent.  Your safety and well being are paramount.

You will be asked to remove your shoes for most treatments , but please keep socks on if you are suffering with any foot conditions such as athlete's foot or verrucae. Thank you.

Pregnancy: Not all treatments are suitable during pregnancy especially pre 16 weeks. Please let me know prior to any appointment if you are expecting.

Children: Children under the age of 16 may receive certain treatments with the consent of their parent/GP, and with the parent present throughout the treatment.  Please discuss your requirements prior to booking an appointment. We respectfully ask that children in any other cases are not brought to your appointment. Thank you.

Facial: Facials must not be performed if you have received facial botox and fillers within the last 48 hours. Please let us know when you book if you have any skin concerns or conditions. It is essential to let us know if you are taking any medications to treat the skin, prior to booking. We are unable do any facial waxing in the same appointment as a Facial treatment.

Eye Treatments:  please arrive to your appointment without eye make up.  A patch test/skin sensitivity test is essential for all tinting, perming and Eyelash extension treatments, which is free of charge and must be administered at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Contact lenses must be removed prior to treatment.  If you suffer from any eye disorders, you may be unable to proceed. Please discuss at the time of arranging your patch test. Clients who suffer from rapid eye movement will not be able to have eyelash extensions.

Waxing:  We advise that you do not have any heat treatments immediately prior to or after waxing, this includes the use of a sauna, steam room, sunbed or sunbathing. Swimming and exercising are also not recommended. Hair should be a minimum of 4mm-6mm long, but no longer than 1cm as this may cause discomfort. It is advisable to trim the hair to the desired length prior to your appointment. Please do not apply body lotions on the day you are to be waxed. Please discuss with the therapist if you have any skin concerns whatsoever.  Clients using retinols, steroids and some acne medications may be unable to receive waxing treatments. If you have taken any medication and are not regularly waxed, please check your suitability to waxing with a us prior to booking your appointment. Clients having specialist bikini waxes will be provided with disposable underwear, and modesty is maintained throughout. Lycon precision wax, a peel-able wax is used for superb results and minimised discomfort. To make your treatment more comfortable and to get the very best results, please exfoliate the area gently, but regularly to avoid any ingrowing hairs as they start to re grow. We stock a range of post wax products for your comfort.
If you are wearing Fake Tan, massage and scrubs may prematurely fade and lift it off. Waxing will certainly lift it off. We cannot give you any treatments whilst your tan is developing and are best booked prior to when tan is ready to be re applied .
